Our friend and fellow racer Chad Lybarger passed
away Saturday. It is with a very heavy and sad heart that we bring
these words to you as Chad was at the track every Tuesday, Friday and
Saturday. Chad enjoyed racing and being with racers more than anything
else in the world and thrived around the racetrack.
His enthusiasm was contagious and you could not
help but smile as soon as you saw Chad bring that wide grin and great
handshake. We will miss him dearly. Those around him cherished is
personality and smiled when just being around him. His passion and
emotion was with him in everything he did – he loved everything – he
told you so and he will be missed. His big yellow Nova got the
name “cheese” and when he raced with cheeseburgers in his car – he got
the name “Triple Cheese” – and it stuck . . . There are many
memories of Chad – from all of us . . . each distinct and personal in
its own way.
Everybody wanted to be around Chad and he will be
missed. We are hurting now because we know of our love for him and that
we will not be seeing him at the track – in the pits or coming up the
lanes. He is now in a wonderful place and let us cherish our memories
of somebody special who affected – and crossed our lives and is special
– Chad Lybarger. Chad, you will be missed - thanks for the wonderful
memories and sharing your time on earth with us. You left us too soon.
From all of us at Music City Raceway – our love, thoughts and best
wishes to your family, friends and those that knew you. Again, you will
be missed.
Please note: a fund was initiated by those at the
racetrack on Saturday with the proceeds going to assisting Chad’s
friends and family with expenses and arrangements. When additional
details are provided they will be posted here. If you wish to
contribute to expenses the family is incurring you will be able to do so
through Tuesday at the track – 6/1/10 – Thank you, Rick and Charlotte. Scott Lybarger, family and friends
of Chad were at the track Tuesday night reminiscing and remembering
Chad. They want to express their heartfelt gratitude to racers,
spectators and all those that new Chad and the warm regards and fond
memories that they have shared during this time of their grieving and
recollection of Chad. They are overwhelmed and yet thankful for
the outpouring of concern, best wishes and love expressed for Chad and
family. It has helped them cope and realize what Chad meant to so many
and again the family wants to express their sincere appreciation and
thanks to all those that have supported and touched us the past few
days. |
